The first of two Beta releases is ready to rock. This release addresses a number of bugs found in the alpha.

New features:

Iceinstall-ui:


Iceinstall-ui puts a prettier UI in front of the ice configuration scrpt. Iceinstall setups up post install things like autologin, hibernation, and the linuxice repositories.

nGhost 2.5:
Beta1 comes with the latest snapshot of nGhost 2.5. This includes new plugins for obd, weather, and gps as well improved overall performance and efficiency.

Beta2 is out! This is the best release of LinuxICE to date! Here's what's new:

- Fixed pulseaudio sound problems
- New Navit Skin
- Improved and less intrusive scanning in nGhost (nscan).
- New DVD Version containing OSM maps for the known world.
- Trayer dock with NetworkManager Applet for wifi support.

At long last, Release Canidate for Anino is here. This is your last chance to complain about stuff not working. Here's what's new:

- Updated iceupdate script using notify-send
- Fixed icetouch script.
- Improved hibernate/hybrid sleep support
- Minor tweaks to icepanel UI (volume bar is now gone, buttons remain)
- Uses notify-osd by default instead of notification-daemon

We need verification on the following bug fixes:

http://bugs.openice.org/bug.php?op=show&bugid=42&pos=2 42 - iceupdate with notifications.

[UPDATE:] Known Issues:

icetouch will probably report "no touch controller found" constantly. This will be fixed in an update soon. See http://bugs.openice.org/bug.php?op=show&bugid=58 for details.

Known Issues:

• Some have reported issues with sound not working. There are two symptoms: 1) you have a null-output device in Apps -> Application -> Pulse Volume Control or 2) you playback is muted which may happen when you shutdown or reboot. We are looking into this further. See bug: http://bugs.openice.org/bug.php?op=show&bugid=62 . Any assistance in tracking down/solving this bug would be appreciated.
